Stefanie and Corey at Jenni's wedding

Corey and Stefanie met in October of 2001 while Corey
was in San Diego for a friend's bachelor party
weekend. (No, she was not the entertainment.) Stefanie
was having a quiet night at home with her friend and
bridesmaid, Jenni, when they decided to take a walk to
the store for some raspberry vodka and sprite. Along
the way, they were stopped by a group of guys who were
looking to add to their party crowd on their limo bus.
Stefanie's first reaction was, "No way. Do you think
we're crazy?" Jenni was a little more open to the idea
of a fun night out so after much convincing and
reassurance of their well being and a safe return home,
they stepped onto the bus to take a look. What they
saw seemed harmless so they joined the guys for a
night out on the town.
Corey was a quiet guy sitting in the back of the bus
and turned out to be a real gentleman paying our way
into the club and making sure we had a ride back to
the house. Corey and Stefanie spent a long time
talking and exchanged numbers at the end of the
evening. Corey began to come down to San Diego more
often and soon they saw each other every weekend.
After about six months, Corey decided that San Diego
was a pretty great place to live and packed up his
stuff to move to Pacific Beach with Stefanie. It was
meant to be temporary but after a few months was up,
Stefanie didn't want him to leave so they have lived
together ever since.
Corey proposed on Stefanie's 29th birthday while out
in downtown San Diego, at Seaport Village (one of her
favorite places). After a very nice dinner at Lamont
Street Grill, he took her for a drink at The Top of
the Hyatt, the most romantic and beautiful spot in San
Diego on the 40th floor of the hotel. While walking
back to the car, they stopped to look at the ocean and
the yachts docked in Seaport Village. With a saxophone
playing in the distance, Corey gave her the shock of
her life when he pulled out the most beautiful ring
and asked her to be his wife. She, of course, said
YES!
